Advantages of growing up in North Carolina?: Everything. North Carolina's really one of the raddest places to grow up in. Good waves, clean coastline, pretty girls, friendly people.

Looks like the years you've put in at Pipe have earned you the nod to get some top-notch waves there this year. What's your biggest focus now and through the rest of 2011?: Hawaii's my main focus right now. Keep building on a good start to the season, and get some more bombs. Then plan to get to Tahiti for a bit this summer. Other than that - just stay on my skateboard and keep living. If you were born and raised in Kansas, what would you be doing right now? Probably playing in a country band... those guys get tons of hotties.

If you could take over as front man for any band, past or present, who would it be? Daft Punk.

When it's all said and done: It was all worth it.

Parting Words: Yewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!*
